EVs currently operate from 400 to 800 Volts that require personal protective equipment and special tooling when working on the high voltage system or battery. Our Training will teach you how to recognize a high voltage system, how to properly shut it down and then verify that there is not voltage present in the system.

Li-Ion batteries are inherently safe if used as directed by the manufacturer. However, under certain abuse scenarios such as excessive heating or crushing the cells have the potential to short out and start heating. The electrolyte contained inside the cells is flammable and can produce a self sustaining fire. In this course we discuss the different abuse scenarios and how to prevent them. We also provide strategies to mitigate battery’s that have been compromised with diagnostics and special tooling.
